The meditational guidance chosen to amplify the thematic prefaces to each section and the Bible verses cited for each day exemplify the evangelical thrust of the burgeoning ""Promise Keepers"" movement, an interracial fellowship of believers that celebrates a ""manly"" brand of muscular Christianity.
