Big Box of Books!

Four miniature board books, packaged within a cardboard box, highlight animals and objects that are big, small, long, and tall. In a smart design decision, each minibook’s trim size matches its theme: Things That Are Tall is ultra-skinny and opens calendar-style (showing off a “tall building,” “tall bamboo,” and more), and Things That Are Small is the size of a block of four stamps and includes images of a snail, ladybug, and starfish. Marshall’s vivid, clean illustrations create one merry scene after another, and reader-directed questions on the back of the books (“How many big things can you think of?”) offer ways to extend the conversation around each concept.
