This beautifully produced book follows the artistic career of British-born, Australia-based textile designer Paterson, who’s known for the innovative fabrics she currently produces at her firm, ClothFabric. Each copy of this cloth-bound book is covered in Paterson’s two favorite designs, cut from cloth dyed the way she prefers—by hand. “I offer my art as fabric, giving it a function and an affordability,” writes Paterson, whose designs take inspiration from Australia’s rugged and raw vegetation and landscape. With fabric swatches and photo collages from two decades of work, Paterson traces her creative process as well as the evolution of her designs.
