More Important Than Money: An Entrepreneur’s Team

Robert Kiyosaki and the Rich Dad Advisors. RDA, $19.99 (448p) ISBN 978-1-937832-87-2

Kiyosaki (Why the Rich Are Getting Richer), founder of the Rich Dad financial coaching firm, demonstrates that having trusted team members, each with a special focus, is more important than money to both budding and seasoned entrepreneurs. He calls on each member of his own trusted team to illustrate the point. The contributors give master classes in their specialties: Ken McElroy on real estate and leveraging debt; Blair Singer on sales and team-building; Garrett Sutton on asset protection and business plans; Tom Wheelwright on taxes and wealth strategies; Andy Tanner on paper assets; Darren Weeks on entrepreneurship; Josh and Lisa Lannon on social entrepreneurship; and Kim Kiyosaki, the author’s wife, on real estate investing. Somewhat confusingly, each chapter is followed by an excerpt from a full-length book written by the chapter’s author, making for a messily organized text. But the primary messages are clear: be unafraid to fail, and be sure you can trust your partners. “If you’re the smartest person on your team,” Kiyosaki counsels, “you’re in trouble.” Entrepreneurs will mine gold from this resource for achieving business success.
