Net_condition: Art and Global Media

Net_condition: Art and Global Media documents projects by over 100 artists, scholars, theorists (including Siegfried Zielinski, quoted above) and activists who were part of a simultaneous exhibition in Germany, Austria, Spain and Japan. The book was co-edited: Peter Weibel is chairman and CEO of ZKM/Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe, Germany (one of the exhibition's forums); independent curator Timothy Druckrey is editor of MIT's Electronic Culture: History, Theory and Practice series, of which this is the second volume. Its radically graphical layout, full of color imagery and text, comes as close as book technology can to the real ""Net condition."" (Feb.)
