Harvest at Mustang Ridge

Wyatt Webb doesn’t do commitment. He ran away from Krista Skye without an explanation, a betrayal Krista is still getting over eight years later. But when Krista reluctantly asks him for help training a wild mustang at her family’s ranch, he sees it as a way to make amends for the past. The two try to pick up where they left off, agreeing to keep things casual and short-term, but Krista struggles to remember that Wyatt is not interested in forever. Despite Krista’s proclamations that family is everything, both her relatives and the ranch take a backseat to her helpless infatuation with irritating, unsympathetic Wyatt. Fans of the series will be pleased to see Shelby and Foster (Summer at Mustang Ridge) and Jenny and Nick (Winter at Mustang Ridge), but the lovely Skye family is relegated to an afterthought. The magic of the Wyoming countryside is notably missing from this installment, which feels like it could have taken place just about anywhere. (Aug.)
