Ba Ba Sheep Wouldn't Go to Sleep

A spare and straightforward text combines with slyly humorous full-color pencil drawings for a wonderfully funny picture book. Ba Ba stays up all night playing in his room. Just as he's about to close his eyes for a brief nap, it's time for school. Ba Ba struggles through the familiar routine of a first grader's day only to collapse after barely touching his dinner. The scenes of Ba Ba dozing in the classroom and lunch room, sleeping on the swings, collapsed in a heap during story time or slumped over his desk at dismissal are all the more hilarious in juxtaposition with the text's deadpan irony.
