Saltus's convoluted attempt to popularize psychologist William Sheldon's innovative theory on how body type affects behavior is more self-serving than useful. She gushes out a superficial system for discovering ""hidden'' human potential, maintaining that each body typeincluding ``Endos: The People of Feeling,'' ``Mesos: The People of Will'' and ``Ectos: The People of Mind''supposedly carries within itself personality traits that have to be recognized before the person can achieve success and happiness. ``The message is in our bodies,'' she asserts. But the keys she offers for unlocking such messages and finding untapped sources of energy for fulfillment are the stuff of a parlor game rather than a realistic methodology. (November)
