Love That Kitty!: The Story of a Boy Who Wanted to Be a Cat

Peter, who demonstrated his affinity for canines in Love That Puppy! decides to become a cat in this companion story. Despite the cool reception to his decision ("Not again!" is his parents' reaction), Peter naps, purrs, sneaks, pounces, plays with yarn, climbs curtains, and even sheds, until he's ready to move on. It's the same joke with a new animal, but Jarka's comic book–style illustrations and surplus of visual gags remain fun. Ages 4–8. (Sept.)
