Darkest Flame

Grant satisfies her fans with the fourth Dark Kings contemporary romantic thriller (after 2013’s Dark Heat). Denae Lacroix, an American working for England’s MI5 agency, has been secretly crossing Dreagan Industries’ vast land in Scotland with another agent, Matt. She’s unsure of the mission, but when Matt tries to kill her, she learns she’s bait to draw out those at Dreagan. She gets the upper hand and kills Matt, but she’s wounded in the process. The commotion awakens Kellen, a Dragon King, who shape-shifts into human form and takes the wounded Denae to the Dreagan manor. Denae and Kellen both fight their instant attraction, unable to trust each other. Fae politics and a traitor among the Dragon Kings add tension to the plot. (May)
