Monster Knows Numbers

An egg-shaped turquoise monster with multiple appendages, electric pink hair, and one gleaming eye gives readers a tour of his abode, as he counts up to 10: “6 bug cookies makes great morning snacks./ 7 bats hang down. It’s time to relax.” The Technicolor palette and gently mischievous items the monster points out (which include jump-rope snakes, spiky teddy bears, and goo-covered yoyos) make this a lively counting exercise.
