Lee’s first Big Sky Pie contemporary, previously released as an e-book, is a disappointing second-chance-at-love story. Quint McCoy, devastated by his dad’s death, handles his grief like a spoiled child. His guilt over not spending time fishing with his dad makes him blame his real estate office and his wife, Callee. He takes off fishing whenever his grief becomes too much, often leaving for weeks at a time. When he returns from a monthlong sojourn, contrite, he finds that Callee has filed the divorce papers and his mom, Molly, has set up a pie shop in his real estate office. After Molly has a heart attack and extracts promises from both Quinn and Callee to open the shop while she awaits surgery, they are forced to work together, and their sexual attraction again ignites. Is it the “go backs,” where reunited couples think life will be better but run into the same old problems? Or is it true love? An unlikeable hero makes this a less-than-stellar romance. (June)
