In Wright’s sexy second WellSpring contemporary (after Touched by You), corporate attorney Kennedi Robinson crashes into the life of straitlaced Parker Wells Jr. when she rear-ends his truck on her first day back in Wellspring, Mich., where she grew up. She’s recently divorced and only planning to be in town for a month, but Parker’s good looks, charm, and kindness pull her in despite her reluctance to trust another man. Parker has enough on his plate—he’s dealing with his father’s shady business dealings and his greedy ex-stepmother, plus his wayward brother and newly discovered sister—but he’s willing to make room for Kennedi, even when she accuses him of being part of his father’s crimes. With the help of Kennedi’s vivacious aunt, Anny, the couple tries to make things work, but Kennedi’s still wracked with trauma from discovering the bodies of her murdered parents years earlier, while Parker deals with his own family drama.
