Good Night: A Toddler’s Bedtime Prayer

Originally published in France, this serene board book offers a brief end-of-day prayer that includes sentiments of gratitude (“Thank you, God, for the sun that glows./ And thank you, God, for the flowers that grow”) and requests for blessings (“Bless Mommy and Daddy, who give goodnight hugs./ My family, my friends, all the people I love”). Dieterlé’s airy artwork features swooping black lines and splashes of color; her bright-eyed animals and humans suggest a safe and welcoming world.
