This attractive four-color gift book draws upon the ""Song of Solomon"" (also called the Song of Songs) to show couples a divine model for enduring love. Glickman provides his own translation of snippets from the poem (he has a doctorate in biblical studies from the University of Basel in Switzerland), and also incorporates excerpts from his previous book, Solomon's Song of Love. While there's no original material here, the result is a lovely gift book that appeals to the romantic in everyone. Interspersed with the biblical excerpts and commentary are quotations from the likes of Ralph Waldo Emerson, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, William Shakespeare (Sonnet 116, natch), C.S. Lewis, Jane Austen, Christopher Marlowe, Walt Whitman and Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
