Before Light and O’Connell delve into these exercises, they dedicate valuable space to mental health: setting goals and adhering to positive habits, overcoming negative thoughts, and drawing on support systems. The authors then cover the basics of nourishment before discussing diets, recipes, and which groceries and kitchen tools to purchase. Only after these fundamentals do the “15 Minutes to Fit” workouts appear, complete with thorough instructions and images demonstrating each exercise. Gorgeous photographs accompany the recipes, which include biscuits, salmon, and deviled eggs, among many other mouthwatering dishes. Scattered throughout the text are somewhat gratuitous pictures of Light in minimal clothing.
