Taste of Home’s newest offering is a compilation of over 1,300 quick and easy recipes gathered into one voluminous four-ring binder. Dishes are divided into 20 chapters, including “Finished in 15,” “Slow Cooking,” “Parties,” and “Holiday Highlights.” Boasting over 1,200 photos, photo indexes at the beginning of each chapter, and two complete recipe indexes (alphabetical and general recipe by ingredient), the book promises to make locating recipes a breeze. As with the Taste of Home magazine, recipes are submitted by home cooks around the country and typically designed for busy families. Sample recipes from “30 Dinners in 30” include Thai chicken tacos, pierogi, quesadillas, Buffalo sloppy joes, and sesame cilantro shrimp. “Fast Fix” artichoke ravioli relies on jarred sauce, refrigerated ravioli, and canned vegetables. The “Cook Once, Eat Twice” chapter focuses on more natural ingredients in the first recipe but relies on prepared items from the grocery for gussying up the leftovers.
