Miller (The Magic Ingredient) and screenwriter Brody (Rescuing Madison) set ambitious architect Jenna Burke on the road to an unexpected happily-ever-after in this charming romance. Jenna has just lost a pitch for a large Los Angeles development and been dumped by her long-term boyfriend, pompous realtor Darren Taylor, when her beloved Aunt May dies, leaving her home in Maui to Jenna and her sister, Sarah. Jenna plans to fix up the place and sell it, using the money to help Sarah achieve her dream of opening a bakery. But fate intervenes in the form of Ben Fletcher, the fascinating contractor her aunt’s will stipulates she must work with. Love blossoms as they work together to renovate the neglected Victorian. But when Darren shows up with a real estate magnate interested in the property and an offer to pick up where they left off, Jenna must choose between the life she thought she wanted in L.A. and the home she’s made in Maui. Miller and Brody do a masterful job of pacing and plotting while creating a hero and heroine readers will easily relate to.
