Cat Got Your Crown: A Kitty Couture Mystery

The National Pet Pageant is coming to New Orleans’s Saenger Theatre in Chase’s amusing fourth Kitty Couture mystery (after 2017’s Cat Got Your Secrets), and Furry Godmother pet boutique owner Lacy Marie Crocker’s somewhat overbearing mother, Violet Conti-Crocker, is running the show. Two days before it opens, MC Viktor Petrov falls to his death from the theater’s balcony into the buffet set up right in front of where Lacy and her boyfriend, Det. Jack Oliver, are sitting. This tragedy gives Lacy a good excuse to do a little snooping of her own. Viktor was not a well-loved man, to say the least, but Jack’s suspicions quickly fall on Eva Little, a quiet member of Violet’s welcoming committee, mainly because she was on the balcony. Can Lacy clear Eva’s name and find the real killer while she tends to pampered pets and their high-strung owners?
