I Love to Read! A Pop Up Book

A girl with sandy brown pigtails shares her enthusiasm for books, covering how, where, and what she likes to read. “I love to read about animals. Rabbits are my favourites,” she says, as a frog, cat, dog, and white rabbit emerge from the pop-up pages of a book, the rabbit chomping down on a carrot. On another spread, four girls in fashion-forward attire appear on cloudlike pop-ups (“I love to read about little girls just like me”), as if drawn from her imagination. Readers can tuck the girl into bed under a cloth blanket once she’s done reading, and press-out bookmarks and bookplates are included. A cheery if slight celebration of reading. Ages 3–5. (Jan.)
