This is the first bilingual anthology of poetry from the coastal stretch that includes Tijuana, Mexicali and Tecate, which has seen an explosion of terrific poetry paralleling its rapid development over the last 30 years. The collection includes 55 poets, including Alicia Montez Hinojosa and Heriberto Yépez, and is translated by various hands, but editors Polkinhorn (Border Lives) and Weiss (Field Notes) do an excellent job of keeping things cohesive.
