Michaels (Climate of Extremes: Global Warming Science They Don't Want You to Know), a well-known climate change skeptic, has compiled a volume of politically homogeneous articles from economics and climatology professors, policy analysts, Cato Institute staff, and others who share the view that the dangers of climate change are minimal. Declaring that "[g]lobal warming has taken over our government and our lives," Michaels addresses global warming policies and their potential effects; climate change and developing countries; the impact of a warming climate on human health; and environmental education in public schools. Contributors examine the impacts of global warming on U.S. security, concluding, not surprisingly, that "ill effects of global warming probably would disproportionately fall on poorer, less strategic developing countries..."
