La Almohada

Gr 3-5-Boys and girls would be anxious to go to bed if they knew they could make wishes on their pillows at bedtime. This is the story of El Cobijas (roughly translated as Blanket Lover) and an old pillow that brings him the dreams he requests. Every night the boy makes a special petition and every night his pillow grants him his dream wish. Shortly before the family takes their vacation to the seashore he chooses a deep-sea excursion in which he makes friends with a starfish and a shark. On another night, upon going to bed hungry, he dreams that all the healthy food his mother serves him tastes just like his favorite desserts. These are just a sample of the boy's nocturnal adventures until one day his magical pillow is stolen by Leticia, a spiteful neighborhood playmate.
