Her Cowboy Prince

Madeline Ash. Madeline Ash, $11.99 trade paper (372p) ISBN 978-0-648-58097-3

Ash spins a fanciful tale of love and palace intrigue in her second Cowboy Princes romance (following Her Cowboy King). When the royal family of the fictional European country of Kiraly die in a mysterious accident, cowboy triplets Mark, Kris, and Tommy are recalled from their Montana ranch to fulfill their royal duties, as Kris is next in line for the throne. At their side is Frankie Cowan, their friend and Montana neighbor, who, it turns out, has secretly been leading their security detail. As the brothers reluctantly settle into royal life, Kris must reconcile his long simmering desire for Frankie with her new role in his life. Meanwhile Frankie searches for the villain responsible for the prior king’s death—and the culprit may be closer to her and the brothers than anyone suspects. Ash’s playfully far-fetched story line requires readers to suspend a good deal of disbelief, but the multilayered heroine and trio of close-knit brothers are sure to charm their way into the hearts of all who succeed. Plenty of steamy encounters between Kris and Frankie add to the appeal. While the story ends in happily-ever-after, Ash leaves a few threads dangling for future installments. Fans of royal romances should snap this up. (Self-published)
