ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE (SO FAR)

Alison Sweeney, Allison Sweeney, . . Kensington, $15 (256pp) ISBN 978-0-7582-0609-1

Sweeney, who won a fan-voted "America's Favorite Villain" Emmy for her 10-year portrayal of Sami on Days of Our Lives , has written up the details of her life for her fans. The 27-year-old begins, dissertation-like, by outlining the contents. Her story is cheerful and bland, covering her beginnings at age four as a commercial actress, her audition for Days , her social life in an L.A. suburbs high school, her bout with dieting in thinness-obsessed Hollywood, her courtship and marriage with her policeman husband (including a long description of finding the perfect wedding dress) and, always, her appreciation for her fans. The book is padded with several chapter-long descriptions of convoluted Days plots (which she advises readers to skip if they've seen the episodes in question), as well as the details of her worm-eating guest appearance on Fear Factor . Although Sweeney emphasizes several times that she is no expert, she doesn't hesitate to give advice about love, dieting, exercise, planning a wedding and how to succeed as an actress. And for young girls, her advice, although certainly not unique, isn't bad: it's more important to be healthy and happy than to look like a model; a few close relationships are better than being popular; don't rush sex; and "You don't need to be perfect to have a successful life. You just need to be yourself." Who could argue with that? 16-page photo insert not seen by PW . Agent, Jane Dystel. (June 1)

Forecast: National print and radio interviews and print ads will draw in readers, and the hot-pink jacket (with a photo of Sweeney posing in a skimpy top and jeans) should catch the attention of young daytime television fans.
