An aspiring influencer schemes to win back his ex-boyfriend during a destination wedding in this high-spirited second-chance romance from Salvatore (No Perfect Places). When his cousin Topher announces his engagement, recent high school graduate and social media food reviewer Fielder Lemon sees the upcoming wedding as a chance to win back his ex, Ricky, Topher’s fiancé’s younger brother. But Ricky—who broke up with Fielder and left Westchester a year ago for a woodworking apprenticeship in Seattle—arrives in the Amalfi Coast for the wedding week with his boyfriend, Cam. Undeterred, Fielder endeavors to undermine their relationship while filming content for a contest that could parlay his social media skills into a lucrative career. As sparks fly once again between Fielder and Ricky, Fielder struggles to keep his busybody family members in the dark regarding his brewing romance, and waffles about sharing his suspicions that Cam is cheating on Ricky. Fielder’s theatrical first-person POV gives way to Ricky’s more subdued, self-conscious narration halfway through the novel in a switch that showcases Salvatore’s perceptive grasp of adolescent voices.
