Join us for a conversation co-hosted by the NYU Center for Publishing and Publishers Weekly about the power of online influencers who are changing the marketing message. How do brands create an authentic and lucrative influencer marketing campaign? How do influencers help extend the reach of both author and brand? What’s the timeline and elements of a successful platform and what does that cost? What are the metrics and how do you evaluate success?

Kristin Fassler joined Simon & Schuster’s Atria Publishing Group in August 2018, in the newly-created role of Vice-President and Director of Integrated Marketing, overseeing the merger of the marketing and publicity departments for a more unified, digitally-driven, author-focused approach. She was most recently the Director of Marketing for Ballantine Bantam Dell, where she spearheaded the marketing, branding, advertising, and social strategies for a wide variety of bestselling campaigns, from Game of Thrones and Outlander to Jodi Picoult and Lee Child. Kristin is also a graduate of New York University’s Publishing Studies Master’s Program and has been an adjunct professor at NYU’s School of Professional Studies.

Prior to joining Random House, Leslie worked in marketing strategy and analytics at Digitas and Ogilvy CommonHealth, and in educational marketing at Penguin Young Readers Group. She has a BA in English from Tufts University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Prior to Goodreads, Suzanne had her own PR consultancy, and also worked at Fleishman-Hillard, a global communications agency.
