No Ordinary Billionaire

Scott’s first traditionally published novel, linked to The Billionaire Christmas, is a little less explicit than her self-published work but has much tighter writing, with plenty of heat and tenderness. L.A. detective and billionaire Dante Sinclair, who loves to live in the moment, heads to his vacation house in Amesport, Maine, to recover from a shooting that injured him and killed his partner. Dr. Sarah Baxter, who mostly lives in her head, was raised by a demanding mother and graduated college at age 16. She moves to Amesport after being attacked in her Chicago hospital, hoping to finally have a normal life. Dante, the Booth to her Bones, encourages her to feel rather than think, swears to protect her while admiring her bravery, and introduces her to passionate, sweaty sex. The subplot involving the man who attacked Sarah meshes perfectly with the romance, making for a well-rounded story that only requires a little suspension of disbelief. [em]Agent: Michelle L.
