Without disclosing any numbers, Amazon said this morning that--even before “Cyber Monday”--November already has been the best sales month ever for Kindle. The e-reader “continues to be the most wished for, the most gifted, and the #1 bestselling product across all product categories,” Amazon said.

While the Kindle is available for immediate shipment, Barnes & Noble told Reuters that it is delaying shipments of the Nook to its stores until December 7. B&N had planned on getting the e-reader into some of its outlets today. B&N is focusing on fulfilling Nook orders placed by customers who ordered the device before November 20, and plans to then send Nooks to its highest-volume stores, and in limited quantities, on December 7.
