Friday Morning Shame

Oof. Running behind in all areas ... books need assigning ... reviews need editing ... still got to get out to BEA ... and what about the blog? Where are the posts this week?? C'mon Marc, get your head out of your ass.

Apologies all round. To try and make it up to you, here's a fun Friday list of things you probably don't have the time to look at today. And if you do have the time, could you maybe edit some reviews for me?

Just kidding.

• A review of God Is Not Great by the brilliant Tony Millionaire, whose art I appropriated a couple weeks ago sans credit. I couldn't get the damn tables to work. No excuse, I know. Apologies all round.
• New York magazine has a big book package in the latest issue, it's all very self-congratulatory and their future-of-the-canon picks seem pretty wrong-headed to me, but their list of 60 underrated novels (a category which somehow includes memoirs) is pretty great, each chosen by a different critic. I've read three from that list. I've finished two.
• A cool (new?) site devoted to book covers.
• Foaming at the mouth for the new Harry Potter? Here's your fix, in convenient pop-song form.
• And what we've been waiting for all winter: the beach reading lists are here! Check it:
