WisRWA and This, that and the other thing

May 12, 2008

Irish Motherhood by Andrew Bernier
Irish Motherhood by Andrew Serge Bernier

I hope everyone had a terrific Mother's Day.  I know I did.  My son, Keith, called from St. Louis and I talked to my 7 year old grandson who announced that he was accepted into the gifted program at his school, but he was proudest of the fact that he can now swallow pills whole (he has asthma and allergies), a truly great accomplishment.  Then son, Andrew, took me to see "Iron Man" (great movie) and we had a Wii rematch.  I still didn't win, but I'm getting closer (except for those darn cows!)

Blog Talk RadioThis week I'll be doing a live internet radio talk show for Book World News that airs on Blog Talk Radio.  It will be on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. Central time for about 15 minutes, so grab your popcorn.

Wisconsin Romance Writers of AmericaThis weekend I'll be in Green Bay for the WisRWA (Wisconsin Romance Writers of America) Conference.  The theme is Love is in the Cards (held at the Oneida Casino and my mom and sister offered to drive with me...hmm).  I'll be blogging and doing Drive by Videos all weekend, so be sure to join me on my latest adventure.

Romance Divas

From Kristen Painter:  Want to know how to use mythology, culture, fairy tales, or folklore in romance? Romance Divas is hosting a 3-day workshop with some of the hottest names in the genre. It will take place at the Romance Diva Forum. All are welcome. To get access to the forum you will need to register.

From author Annmarie OrtegaMarianne LaCroix and I have a new website, On the Same Page,  if you would like to join.  It's a social network to talk about your latest WIP (work in progress), new releases, etc.  It's all good here.  (Ok, I had to join this just because of the banner).
On The Same Page

Well, that's all the news I heard this week.  Remember if you have any news, info, kudos or fun and interesting things, you can email me here and I'll get in as much as I can.

Bottom Line:   I propose that Mother's Day should be celebrated at least once a month.

Hi Barb. Thanx for the shoutout for the WisRWA conference this coming weekend. I'm soooo looking forward to it.

I'll look forward to hearing you on Wednesday. (Gotta mark my calender). Good luck and have fun with it. I did an interview with Blog Talk Radio a couple of weeks ago and had a terrific experience.

And I agree ... Mother's Day should be more that once a year. Afterall, we're mothers and we deserve it. LOL.
