| Irish Motherhood by Andrew Serge Bernier |
This week I'll be doing a live internet radio talk show for Book World News that airs on Blog Talk Radio. It will be on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. Central time for about 15 minutes, so grab your popcorn.
This weekend I'll be in Green Bay for the WisRWA (Wisconsin Romance Writers of America) Conference. The theme is Love is in the Cards (held at the Oneida Casino and my mom and sister offered to drive with me...hmm). I'll be blogging and doing Drive by Videos all weekend, so be sure to join me on my latest adventure.
From Kristen Painter: Want to know how to use mythology, culture, fairy tales, or folklore in romance? Romance Divas is hosting a 3-day workshop with some of the hottest names in the genre. It will take place at the Romance Diva Forum. All are welcome. To get access to the forum you will need to register.
From author Annmarie Ortega: Marianne LaCroix and I have a new website, On the Same Page, if you would like to join. It's a social network to talk about your latest WIP (work in progress), new releases, etc. It's all good here. (Ok, I had to join this just because of the banner).

Well, that's all the news I heard this week. Remember if you have any news, info, kudos or fun and interesting things, you can email me here and I'll get in as much as I can.
Bottom Line: I propose that Mother's Day should be celebrated at least once a month.

Hi Barb. Thanx for the shoutout for the WisRWA conference this coming weekend. I'm soooo looking forward to it. I'll look forward to hearing you on Wednesday. (Gotta mark my calender). Good luck and have fun with it. I did an interview with Blog Talk Radio a couple of weeks ago and had a terrific experience. And I agree ... Mother's Day should be more that once a year. Afterall, we're mothers and we deserve it. LOL.
Thanks for giving our workshop at Romance Divas some promo, Barbara! I really appreciate it. It's going to be great!
Hey, I'm all for Mother's Day once a month. LOL!!
Thanks Barbara--as a mother of 10, I agree--Mother's Day celebration once a month!! I did get calls from my surviving 9 children yesterday, so it was a wonderful day!
Wow Barb--I love that "Irish Motherhood" painting by Andrew!! Wonderful!!
Thank you so much for letting everyone know about the divas Mythology Workshop! We're very excited about it :)
Glad you had great mother's day Barbara! I'm in the loved Iron Man contingency too. :)
Barbara! Thanks for mentioning the workshop we're doing at Romance Divas. I'm so happy these amazing authors let me hijack--uh, TALK them into coming to chat with us. I love these workshops, especially because they're FREE for authors!
Romance Divas puts on a great workshop, so I know the Mythology in Romance class will be awesome! Thanks for giving it a shout.
I'm really looking forward to the Mythology Workshop. The featured authors are some of my favorites. My DS finally got me to play MarioKart with him on the Wii. I got slaughtered.
Once a month sounds wonderful...once a week, even better :) The Diva workshop is going to be fab--they always are!
Happy mothers day Barbara!
How does one purchase Irish Motherhood? That artist does wonderful work.
Have fun at conference!! Hopefully you'll have good weather! (I'm just south of Green Bay.) Can't WAIT for the RD online seminar!
Barbara, I'm eager for the WisRWA conference to start, I need a break. And I get to see you as a bonus. :) It should be a blast. I loved Iron Man too! It not only had a great story, it had great characters too.
Thanks for giving a shout out to Romance Divas. The workshop will feature authors who really know their stuff! It's a great source resource for any writer interested in mythology.
Like others on here, I wanted to give a shout out about the Romance Divas workshop--it's really going to be stellar!!
Happy Mother's Day a day late! Thanks for all of the info, Barbara, the RD workshop looks like fun. Going over to register.
I'm glad I'm not the only mom trying to best my children on Wii! LOL Romance Divas give the best free workshops around - thanks for reminding me.
This is fantastic information! Thanks Barbara!
Hahahah! I tried to say I would help drive you to that conference, but when I used the other "c" word that has to do with losing or winning money, I got tagged as a spammer. SNORT!
Joysannoh, I'll check with Andrew about the painting and let everyone know who is interested.
This online workshop sounds fascinating. I think I'll try it. Love the Irish Motherhood picture.
Anyone interested in a copy of the Irish Motherhood portrait can contact Andrew Serge Bernier at www.andrewbernier.com/contact.html
Thanks for the reminder on the Romance Divas workshop. It looks great!
Oh I didn't know we were staying at the C A S I N O! :)
