Available in 50 languages, and with more than 165 million copies in print worldwide, Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid series is an international phenomenon. This fall, Kinney himself will again head overseas for a tour that will take him to nine countries, in addition to nine markets in the U.S.

The tour—a collaboration between Kinney’s U.S. publisher, Abrams, and his international publishers—is scheduled to begin in Washington, D.C., on November 1, the release date for Double Down, the 11th book in the series. The other U.S. cities Kinney will visit are Boston, Los Angeles, New York City, Salt Lake City, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle. Internationally, Kinney will make stops in France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Korea, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and Canada, with two additional nations to be announced. The dates and locations of Kinney’s events will be announced at a later date, as well, but the tour is expected to continue through December, with appearances in early 2017.

“I’m incredibly excited to travel in the States again for part of my tour, and also thrilled to visit more places where Wimpy Kid has impacted the lives of young readers,” said Kinney in a statement. For last year’s release of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School, Kinney visited 15 cities on five continents on a global tour.
