Author Megan McDonald hit the road this fall in celebration of the release of Judy Moody and the Right Royal Tea Party, illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds, book #14 in her popular chapter book series. The author’s travels took her to a number of schools, stores, and festivals from California to Florida, in five trips from September through November. Over the course of the tour, McDonald spoke with approximately 8,000 kids and adults. Her presentation included costumes, readings, and a game of “What does the Queen keep in her purse?” We’ve gathered a selection of highlights from the events.
