To capitalize on the holiday bookselling season—and building excitement for the release of the first Hunger Games film next year—Scholastic has announced new editions of and tie-ins to the first book in Suzanne Collins’s bestselling series, to be published later this year and in early 2012.
The Hunger Games Collector’s Edition will arrive in November and feature a slipcase with new mockingjay artwork. And next February, Scholastic will publish three movie tie-in books: The Hunger Games: Movie Tie-In Edition, The Hunger Games: Official Illustrated Movie Companion, and The World of The Hunger Games. The film itself is scheduled for a March 2012 release from Lionsgate and stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen.
