Jeff Kinney will embark on a global tour later this fall to promote the 10th book in his Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School will be released November 3 in the U.S. by Abrams’s Amulet Books imprint, triggering a tour that includes stops in 15 cities on five continents.

As part of the tour, a social media campaign is planned that will include videos documenting each stop, coordinated with all publisher partners. Fans can also stay up to date on Jeff Kinney’s travel at www.wimpykid.com/tour.

Stops on the tour include New York, N.Y.; Boston, Mass.; Tokyo, Japan; Beijing, China; Sydney, Australia; Madrid, Spain; London, U.K.; Lisbon, Portugal; Frankfurt, Germany; Athens, Greece; Istanbul, Turkey; Bucharest, Romania; Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Riga, Latvia; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

“I’m incredibly excited to be embarking on a global tour to celebrate the launch of my tenth book,” said Jeff Kinney. “One of the biggest surprises of my life is that kids from all over the world seem to relate to Greg Heffley and his comic struggles. What I’ve learned is that childhood itself is a universal condition that transcends culture and language.”

In addition to Abrams, participating Wimpy Kid book 10 tour publishers are Poplar Publishing in Japan; Guangdong New Century Publishing House in China; Penguin Random House in Australia; RBA Group in Spain; Penguin Random House in the U.K.; 20/20 Editora in Portugal; Baumhaus Verlag in Germany; Psichogios Publications in Greece; Epsilon in Turkey; Editura Art in Romania; De Fontein in the Netherlands; Zvaigzne ABC in Lativa; and V&R Editoras in Brazil.
