Hello, Love! by Taro Miura. Chronicle, $6.99; ISBN 978-1-4521-7087-9. In a sweet and straightforward board book, animals meet at the volume’s gutter to show the ways they greet one another.

Love, Z by Jessie Sima. Simon & Schuster, $17.99; ISBN 978-1-4814-9677-3. A found love letter sends a robot on a journey to understand what love is. The picture book earned a starred review from PW.

A Hug Is for Holding Me by Lisa Wheeler, illus. by Lisk Feng. Appleseed, $14.99; ISBN 978-1-4197-2826-6. Using allusions to nature, Wheeler writes about what a hug can be in this picture book featuring a girl and her father.
