A public memorial service for author, poet, editor, and publisher Charlotte Zolotow will be held in New York City on Tuesday, May 27, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Judson Memorial Church, 55 Washington Square South. RSVP to Candida Gazoli.
Zolotow, author of more than 90 titles for children, began working at then-Harper & Brothers in 1938. She rose to associate publisher in the children's book division, then ran an eponymous imprint, and retired in 1991. She died last November, at the age of 98.
