Swim That Rock (Candlewick, April), a coming-of-age tale set amid New England’s clam-digging industry, is a collaboration between best friends John Rocco (Blackout) and debut author Jay Primiano. The pair, who grew up in coastal Rhode Island and who each started working on commercial fishing boats at age 11, embarked on a 12-day book tour that brought them to more than a dozen venues in Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
