Nielsen will host the Nielsen Children’s Book Summit on December 12 at the McGraw-Hill Auditorium in New York City. The summit will provide a "comprehensive overview of the children’s book landscape," and will be "designed to meet the needs of publishers, marketers and content developers looking to understand a holistic view of consumption behavior."

The event, a co-production between Nielsen and Miami-based publishing specialists Bookigee, will feature presentations from Nielsen researchers; child development specialists; live focus groups with families and teens; and special presentations on “A Day in the Life” of the connected family.

“It is increasingly clear to us and our customers that children’s media consumption is completely omnivorous,” said Jonathan Stolper, senior v-p, U.S. Book, Nielsen. “If we want to understand the key trends affecting our business, we need to take a much broader approach and look at all the ways children’s media intersect. No one else is in a position to do that like Nielsen.”
