Every year since 2010, the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art has organized a trip for American educators to visit Pistoia, Italy, to tour schools, talk with staff and teachers about their methods, and swap ideas, while also experiencing the Tuscan town of Pistoia. This year there were nine participants, from across New England and the Mid-Atlantic states. The latest group recently returned, and shared the following pictures.
