Bonnier Publishing is launching its IglooBooks brand in North America, where it will join the company’s four other U.S. imprints, including Little Bee Books, Sizzle Press, Weldon Owen, and Blue Streak Books, the recently launched illustrated books imprint.

IglooBooks focuses on “value-driven” adult and children’s books; the North American imprint will publish 150 titles in its first year and will have a dedicated team of editors and designers.

The new company will be led by Jeremy Nurnberg, formerly of Parragon and Sterling. He will report to Shimul Tolia, CEO of Bonnier Publishing USA.

IglooBooks was founded in 2003 and acquired by Bonnier Publishing in 2014. It has published books in 36 languages that are sold in 58 countries, and generates revenue of $60 million a year.

IglooBooks CEO Dan Shepherd said: “As our growth continues globally, it is a natural next step to build a North American team who will focus 100% on the needs of the U.S. consumer. We look forward to working with retail partners to bring the list to market in the coming months and years.”
