O'Reilly Media and Safari Books Online are donating over $100 million in "educational content and tools" to K-12 schools across the U.S. The donation was announced on Tuesday, by President Obama, and is targeted to 15,000 schools as part of the President's ConnectED program, which aims to get high-speed digital connections into more schools to facilitate technology education.

Andrew Savikas, CEO of Safari, said of the donation: "Safari has helped millions of working professionals use content from the world's leading publishers to learn and develop the skills they need to succeed for more than a decade, so we're proud to support O'Reilly's efforts and the White House in doing the same for students across America."
