Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group has become the latest publisher start a new digital audiobook program. The first title to be released as a Rowman & Littlefield Audio was The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas Stanley, which was released earlier this month. The company plans to release 35 audio titles this year, and 50 in 2020.

Titles will come from across R&L’s various imprints. Get Tusked: The Inside Story of Fleetwood Mac's Most Anticipated Album by Ken Caillat and Herman Rojas and Sympathy for the Drummer: Why Charlie Watts Matters by Mike Edison, will both be released November 22 under the company’s Backbeat imprint in digital audio, e-book and print editions. Other subject areas where titles will be published in digital audio include history, self-help, business, and pop culture.

“Rowman & Littlefield is fully committed to the fast-growing audiobook market. We publish over 2,000 new titles a year in a multitude of physical and digital formats, and are thrilled to now also publish in the audiobook format,” Michael Lyons, business development manager for R&L said in a statement.

R&L is working with Findaway to produce most of its initial audiobook titles. The company’s digital audio titles will be available to all major retailers, and library customers.
