The seventh annual PW Star Watch is now open for submissions. The annual event, founded in 2015, recognizes publishing professionals from the U.S. and Canada who are in the early stages of their careers and are improving and innovating the industry.

The deadline for nominations is September 10. All honorees will be profiled in Publishers Weekly's November 1 issue. The winner will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony on November 16.

“PW Star Watch is one of the only awards that honors publishing and bookselling professionals who are newer to their current roles (approximately five years or less) or who have recently changed careers and made valuable contributions to the industry,” Jim Milliot, senior v-p and editorial director of Publishers Weekly, said in a statement. “This year, we are also seeking individuals whose creativity and innovations helped the industry to weather lockdowns, store closings, and other disruptions due to Covid-19.”
