Publishers Weekly and the Association of American Literary Agents (AALA) will present the U.S. Book Show: A Conference for Publishing Professionals at NYU’s Kimmel Center in New York City on May 22. The one-day in-person educational conference will bring together agents, editors, marketers, and book publishing professionals to discuss emerging trends and foster connections. Advance registration will open on March 1.

This year's conference will address emerging technologies and the AI landscape, diversity, publisher consolidation, and growth opportunities and dive into bread-and-butter issues that can affect daily effectiveness and careers. Programming information will be released in the coming weeks as speakers and topics are confirmed.

Publishers Weekly is thrilled to partner with the AALA on presenting a thoughtful program focused on moving our shared industry forward with a meaningful exchange of ideas and information,” said Cevin Bryerman, CEO and publisher of PW. “While this year we will move away from the show’s original concept of focusing on forthcoming books, we are certain that this program fills an industry void and will bring people together to learn and to network.”

“The AALA is incredibly excited to be pioneering with PW a new vision of the U.S. Book Show where fostering an exchange of ideas, education and community for literary agents and the publishing community are at the forefront,” said AALA president Jennifer Weltz. “It’s about time we all came together to ignite enthusiasm for our beloved business of books.”

Early bird discounts are available at the U.S. Book Show website, with AALA members receiving preferential pricing, for those whoe register before April 30. Space is limited. All general questions can be directed to eventsupport@publishersweekly.com.
