Lauren Kate has signed with Delacorte Books for Young Readers to do a new story collection featuring characters from her bestselling current series, Fallen. The new book, Fallen In Love, will come out January 24, 2012 with a 400,000-copy announced first printing, before the final book in the series, Rapture, hits shelves on June 12, 2012.
Wendy Loggia at Delacorte acquired North American rights to Fallen In Love from Michael Stearns and Ted Malawer at Tinderbox Books.
According to Random House, over 1.7 million copies of the available three Fallen titles--Fallen, Torment and Passion--have sold in North America since the first book came out in 2009. The series, which follows fallen angels as well as star-crossed lovers, has also been sold in 33 countries.
