3/20 Comics Writing Master Class with Peter David at MOCCA in New York, NY

Peter David, bestselling author and veteran comics creator, will be offering a one-evening master class in comics writing at the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art in New York. The event will take place from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, and is open to teen and adult students. Tickets are $45 for museum members and $50 for non-members. 3/21 Smoke and Mirrors Release Party and Magic Show Los Angeles, CA

Comics creator and magic enthusiast Mike Costa will be celebrating the release of the first issues of his new comic Smoke and Mirrors with a party at Golden Apple Comics at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21. Co-created with magician Jon Armstrong and comics artist Ryan Browne, the new IDW comic is about a sleight of hand magician who finds himself in a world where magic is real. Live magic tricks will be performed, and the event is free to the public. Gold Apple Comics is located at 7018 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CA.

3/23 Zak Sally & John Porcellino Signing in Chicago, IL

Eisner-nominated comics creator Zak Sally and indie comics veteran John Porcellino will appear at Quimby's Bookstore in Chicago at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20 to sign their new books Sammy the Mouse vol. 1 and King-Cat Comics # 72.
