8/17-8/25 Colosse Comics Collective Tour in San Francisco, Berkeley, Seattle, Vancouver & Portland

Montreal-based independent comics collective Colosse is taking a rare multimedia reading and signing tour of the West Coast. Creators from Collosse include Sophie Yanow, Francois Samson-Dunlap and Alexandre Fontaine Rousseau with special guest readers along the way. On 8/17, the San Francisco event with guest reader MariNaomi takes place from 7-9 p.m. at Mission Comics located at 3520 20th street, San Francisco, the August Berkeley event with guest readers Susie Cagle and Kane Lynch takes place on 8/18 from 5-7 p.m. at the Escapist Comic Bookstore at 3090 Claremont Ave, Berkeley. The Vancouver event takes place from 7-9 p.m. at Lucky's Comics located at 3279 Main Street, Vancouver. The tour's Seattle event with guest reader Marie Odomo is on 8/21 from 7-9 p.m. at Spine and Crown Books located at 315 East Pine Street, and Portland hosts two events – one on taking place on 8/24 from 7-9 p.m. at The Waypost bar and coffee shop located at 3120 North Williams Ave, Portland, and the other on 8/25 from 6-10 p.m. at Floating World Comics located at 400 Northwest Couch Street, Portland. All events are free to the public.

8/18 "Revival" Signing with Tim Seeley and Mike Norton in Skokie, IL

Comics creators Tim Seeley and Mike Norton of the new Image comic Revival will be signing the first two issue at Aw Yeah Comics in Skokie from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, August 18. Admission is free to the general public. Aw Yeah Comics is located at 4933 Oakton Street, Skokie, IL.

8/23 "Noche de Latinas" Gabrielle Gamboa, Crystal Gonzales, Liz Mayorga and Grasiela Rodriguez in San Francisco

The Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco will be holding a special panel discussion entitled "Noche de Latinas" with Latina comics creators Gabrielle Gamboa, Crystal Gonzales, Liz Mayorga and Grasiela Rodriguez about their work, their inspirations and their experience in the comics industry. The event will take place at the museum from 7 – 9 p.m., and admission will be free and open to the general public. The Cartoon Art Museum is located at 655 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA.
