10/31 Halloween Comic Fest (With Free Comics) Nationwide

On Wednesday, October 31, comic book shops across the country are celebrating Halloween Comic Fest. To celebrate Halloween and share the joy of comics, Marvel, DC, Archie, Viz, Fantagraphics, Dark Horse and a host of independent publishers are offering a special selection of comics and mini-comics available for free at comic stores across the nation for one day only, as well as hosting special events and costume contests. Many of these comics, such as Batman & Scooby Doo, Zombie Kid Diaries, and Little Miss Daredevil, are suitable for all ages, although some contain horror content better for older children. To take part, simply go to your local participating comic shop - easily findable through this search engine - and request your free comic. Many comic book stores will be hosting events and comics signings to celebrate the day, and a listing of notable signings is available at the official site. No purchase is necessary. More information is available on the Halloween Comic Fest site.
