3/6 Image Creators Kel Symons, Joe Harris, Duffy Boudreau & Ken Kristensen in Los Angeles, CA
Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles will be holding a group signing and discussion evening with Image Comics creators Kel Symons, Joe Harris, Duffy Boudreau & Ken Kristensen on March 6. All four creators will be showcasing their latest books - Kristensen's Todd The Ugliest Kid on Earth, Harris's Great Pacific, Boudreau's Blackacre and Symons's I Love Trouble . The event will take place from 7 – 10 p.m. at Golden Apple Comics, located at 7018 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CA.at 3620 Fells Road, Hampden, Baltimore, MD. The events is free to the public and mingling with the creators is encouraged.
3/7 30 Years of "Love and Rockets" Evening with Mario Hernandez in San Francisco, CA\
The Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco will host veteran indie comics creator Mario Hernandez, the eldest of the three legendary Hernandez brothers of Love and Rockets fame on March 7. Mario has been a contributor to the Love and Rockets saga from the very beginning, albeit more infrequently than his brothers Gilbert and Jaime Hernandez. Commemorating the 30th anniversary of their groundbreaking indie comic, Mario will talk about the history and early days of Los Bros Hernandez and Love and Rockets. A special 30th anniversary commemorative print will be available with a $10 contribution to the museum. This special event is presented by the Will and Ann Eisner Foundation and is free to the general public. "An Evening with Mario Hernandez" will take place at the on March 7 from 7-9 p.m at the Cartoon Art Museum, located at 655 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA.
3/9 "Lost Vegas" Release Party with Jim McCann & Janet Lee in Winnetka, CA
Comics creators Jim McCann and Janet Lee will be celebrating the release of the first issue of their new comic Lost Vegas with a Vegas-themed party at Collector's Paradise in Winnetka from 7-10 p.m. on Saturday, March 9. Entertainment will include card games, a costume contest, and free alcoholic beverages for guests over 21. The event is free, and open to guests over 18 who have dressed appropriately for the occasion. Collector's Paradise is located at 7131 Winnetka Ave, Winnetka, CA.
